A key element of Quentin Tarantino's directorial style is the use of a non-linear narrative. Non-linear narratives use flashbacks, flash-forwards, and memory sequences to manipulate time and captivate the audience. Many of Tarantino's films use this technique such as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and of course Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2.
